Are you ready for change?
The readiness ruler is a tool you can use to determine how ready you are to make a desired change.
In order to make a change you desire, you need to be at a 10 (or really an 11!). What if you’re at an 8? You want to change, but the motivation just isn’t strong enough.
Here’s a visualization exercise you can do:
Prompt 1: If You DO NOT Make Changes
Close your eyes and project yourself exactly 1 year into the future if you stay on your current path and make no changes.
Imagine a typical morning one year from today. How does your body feel when you get out of bed? What does your energy level feel like as you move through your routine? Pay attention to your mood, your physical comfort, how your clothes feel, how you feel about your health and overall vitality?
- Ask yourself: If I am in the exact same spot 12 months from now, how will I feel about the time passed? What is the real cost—mentally and physically—of delaying this change for another year?
Really immerse yourself in that picture and notice how that reality feels in your body.
Prompt 2: If You DO Make Changes
Now, reset and close your eyes once more. Picture yourself 1 year from today, having taken consistent, small action steps starting this week.
Imagine waking up a year from now. Feel the difference in your energy, your physical strength, and your confidence. Picture yourself moving easily through your day and comfortably taking on activities that bring you joy and independence.
- Ask yourself: How does it feel to know you prioritized yourself and followed through? How does this version of you look, move, and feel every single day?
Hold that image clearly and let that feeling of achievement and progress sink in.
Visualization is a powerful tool to help you reach your goals!
